Monogram CombinationsUnique Monograms combining multiple styles. Monogram Styles Used:Monogram: D This design is for towels. We wanted to flank a single initial with some repeated decorative elements that would create a stylish band. Starting with the initial D from Victorian Monogram Set 13, the next step was to look for something that would be compatible with the letter - slightly natural but at the same time abstract, and with some curves. Elements that were too angular or geometric were rejected. We finally settled on one from Monogram Flourishes Set 3 - year 1899. This individual motif was copied to make a group of 3 on each side. The center motif on each side was rotated 180 degrees to make the groups more interesting. The color scheme is off-white, composed of soft colors. The overall size is 3 1/2"(89mm) tall by 13"(330mm) wide. How we made these monogramsEmbroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors. |
