Monogram CombinationsUnique Monograms combining multiple styles. Monogram Styles Used:Monogram: AWD For this three-letter monogram we started with letters from Nuptial Monogram Set 2. We liked the soft, rounded aspect of the letters by themselves, so we eliminated the flanking embellishments. Next, we used the original size of the center last name initial - D - and reduced the size of the flanking initials - A and W. To complete the monogram we looked for something with a similar softness as an embellishment. A design from Monogram Flourishes 3:year 1937 seemed a good fit. We made a mirrored copy and placed one on each side. To give the whole monogram a seasonal "beachy" quality we chose thread colors in blue, yellow, and coral. This would look great on bed linens. How we made these monogramsEmbroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors. |
