Monogram CombinationsUnique Monograms combining multiple styles. Monogram Styles Used:Monogram: FRA This three-letter monogram is an example of taking an opportunity to let the last name initial have some additional power over the flanking letters. Starting with the letter A from our Baroque Monogram Set 1, we added flanking latters F and R from the same style, which, in its original form, is a combination of two slightly contrastring styles: open satin stritch letters with stylized shading accents, and thinner satin stitch letters with small "ears" and "feet". In their original form all the letters are vertical. For this monogram we aligned all three letters on a baseline, then used our embroidery software program to make the flanking letters slightly larger, and distorted them so that the F leans in to the right, and the R leans in to the left. This concept wouldn't produce such a strong architectural effect with some other letters of the alphabet, but the A lends itself to this manipulation. The overall size is 2 5/8" (67mm) tall by 4 1/8" (104 mm) wide. How we made these monogramsEmbroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors. |
