Monogram CombinationsUnique Monograms combining multiple styles. Monogram Styles Used:Monogram: BRL For this special occasion Valentine Monogram, we started by combining three initials from the Valentine Monogram Set - center larger letter L flanked by two smaller letters (B and R). To give the complete monogram some formality we added a “frame” from Monogram Flourishes 1: Year 1932. The frame has satin stitch corner brackets that are filled with manual seed stitch, and a top and bottom row of variously sized wing-needle stitches. We rotated the frame 90 degrees in our embroidery software program, then enlarged it until it fit comfortably around the three initials. We chose a thread color palette that emphasized the hearts - done in pink and red. The overall size is 5 5/8” (143mm) tall by 8 1/4” (210mm) wide How we made these monogramsEmbroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors. |
