Monogram CombinationsUnique Monograms combining multiple styles. Monogram Styles Used:Monogram: AAT This bold three letter monogram combines two styles that share a few properties - wide satin stitch columns, and unusual home decor. We started with the letter T from the Folk Art Monogram Set. It is the middle (last name) initial. The style celebrates an early 20th Century tradition - sometimes called "tramp art" - of detailed wood carving of furniture, picture frames, etc. We wanted to combine this style with something simple and angular, so we chose the flanking letters - A (first initial) and A (middle initial) from the Homeowner Monogram Set. The overall size is 3 1/8" (81mm) tall by 5 3/4" (145mm) wide. How we made these monogramsEmbroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors. |
