Monogram CombinationsUnique Monograms combining multiple styles. Monogram Styles Used:Monogram: A One of the distinctive elements of the letters in the Victorian 14 XL Monogram Set is the simplicity of the open satin stitch ring accents. For a large monogram - letter A - we decided to emphasize these elements in the overall design by creating a chevron-shaped "base" for the letter to sit on. We isolated one ring within our software program, made copies of it, and arranged them below the letter. An easy way to do this is to first make the chevron shape with a running stitch line, then use it for placement with the rings on top. Once complete, we deleted the running stitch. The 9 rings are done in a separate color. This would be a good monogram for a shower curtain - hung with rings from a shower rod. The overall size is 9" (229mm) tall by 6 3/4" (171mm) wide. How we made these monogramsEmbroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors. |
