Monogram CombinationsUnique Monograms combining multiple styles. Monogram Styles Used:Monogram: NN For a couple who both have the same last initial - N - we began to make this two-letter embellished monogram by choosing a thin graceful initial from the Five and Dime Monogram Set. We could have simply copied the letter and placed the copy next to the first one, but it seemed more interesting, and less mechanical, to provide some small variation between the two. We rotated the first N 180 degrees, then tucked it in next to the first version. To complete the design, two copies of the flower from the Arts and Crafts Monogram Set 4 were set to flank the initials. We chose colors in the yellow/ orange family, with lighter green accents. The overall size is 3 1/2"" (89mm) tall by 6" (153mm) wide. How we made these monogramsEmbroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors. |
