Monogram CombinationsUnique Monograms combining multiple styles. Monogram Styles Used:Monogram: A This single-initial monogram was created for white-on-white application on plush towels. The letter A from Art Deco Monogram Set 7 is simple and geometric, with wide satin stitch columns. It was digitized with color stops to allow it to be used as an applique design, but in this case we wanted the interior open space to stay open so we deleted the color changes in the letter design. To give it a solid looking frame we used the letter D from Moderne Monogram Set 13 and made 4 copies, then arranged them into a square format, then rotated the combined shape so that it was now a diamond. The letter A needed to be reduced in size a little to fit comfortably in the center The overall size is 5 7/8" (149mm) tall by 5 7/8" (149mm) wide How we made these monogramsEmbroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors. |
