Monogram CombinationsUnique Monograms combining multiple styles.  Monogram Styles Used:Monogram: N For this monogram we wanted something decorative and simple to accompany the letter N from the Folk Art Monogram Set, which is a squarish satin stitch letter that has a fancy stitch border all around. We chose the embellishments from Art Nouveau Monogram Set 6. We made a combination of three elements, rotating each one a bit into a stylized "bouquet". Initially intending to make a mirrored copy of this element to put to the right of the letter, we decided that the unbalanced look of just the embellishments to the left of the letter was interesting as it was. The overall size is 4 1/2" (115mm) tall by 6 1/8" (156mm) wide. How we made these monogramsEmbroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors. |
