Unique Monograms combining multiple styles.
Monogram Styles Used:
For this single initial monogram we started with the decoration.
Nuptial Monogram Set 1 has a nice graceful set of two embellishments - flowing satin stitch bow-like designs with bean stitch accents. We eliminated the letter in our software, then made a copy of the two embellishments and rotated the copy 180 degrees, merging the two together.
Within this new four-part bracket we needed a letter that was vertical, not slanted. After a few false starts Gothic Monogram Set 15 seemed a good candidate, with appropriately wide columns. Enlarging the largest version of the letter a bit helped it to occupy the empty center space. This would look good on bed linens, or a small pillow.
The overall size is 5 " (125mm) tall by 7" (178mm) wide
How we made these monograms
Embroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors.
