Monogram CombinationsUnique Monograms combining multiple styles. Monogram Styles Used:Monogram: L We needed an single initial monogram with the intial L - and really like the L from Art Nouveau 5 XL, with a simple vertical shape and an interesting little crook in the satin stitch leading to the bottom section, a bit like an elbow. To give this large letter some formality, we chose left and right brackets from Monogram Flourishes 2: Year 1948. These satin stitch triangles have an interior manual seed stitch fill - a nice contrast to all the satin stitch elements - and each has 3 candlewick stitch accent dots. The overall size is 5 1/4"(133mm) tall by 7 3/8"(187mm) wide. How we made these monogramsEmbroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors. |
