Unique Monograms combining multiple styles.
Monogram Styles Used:
For this three-letter monogram we knew we wanted to start with letters from Romanesque Monogram Set 13 - C and R. Intended as a two-letter monogram the left and right letters are nicely balanced symmetrically, so spreading them apart presents an opportunity to place a taller letter in the center for the last name initial.
Lots of vertical letters from other styles would work for this, but we especially liked introducing the center letter M from the Art Nouveau 5 XL Monogram Set, which has a stylized "swirl" at the bottom that goes perfectly with similar elements in the flanking letters.
The overall size is 5 1/4" (133mm) tall by 5 7/8" (149mm) wide.
How we made these monograms
Embroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors.
