Monogram CombinationsUnique Monograms combining multiple styles.  Monogram Styles Used:Monogram: K This is a fairly obvious idea for a combination, but we hadn't tried it before. Starting with a letter from our Romanesque 8 XL Monogram Set, we used our software to delete the letter in the center, leaving only the botanical border and the oval accents. We merged the letter K with border from our Romanesque Monogram Set 8, placing it in the center of the larger open area. The border and oval accents for the smaller size are the same as the larger size, so there is an interesting overall symmetry in the new monogram. The borders are sewn in white, with a pale yellow for the accents and the center letter. The overall size is 7" (177 mm) tall by 6 1/8" (156 mm) wide. How we made these monogramsEmbroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors. |
