Monogram CombinationsUnique Monograms combining multiple styles. Monogram Styles Used:Monogram: MKT For this three-letter monogram, to be used on linen table napkins, we wanted something classic, with a graceful light touch. This seemed a good opportunity to extend the use of the flanking letters from our Baroque Monogram Set 3, which are done in thin satin stitch. We chose the letters M and K (first and middle initials) from that style. Then, to provide a bit of contrast, the letter T from the Gothic Monogram Set 9 was placed between them. This might have been fine as is, but to add a little more decoration we added the left and right brackets from Baroque Monogram Set 2. Once the whole design was assembled on screen the brackets seemed a little too large, so they were resized a bit smaller. The overall size is 3 1/2" (89mm) tall by 3 1/4" (82mm) wide. How we made these monogramsEmbroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors. |
