Monogram CombinationsUnique Monograms combining multiple styles. Monogram Styles Used:Monogram: I Designed as complete monograms, our styles can also become resources for shapes and embellishments. For this initial I monogram we began with the embellishment. We started with the top portion of the letter E from the Split Monogram Set 2. We liked the swirly satin stitch element, and rotated the design 90 degrees to the left, then added the same element again, this time rotating 90 degrees to the right. We moved these two elements apart to make a space in the center, then deleted the satin stitch line (Color 2) from each half. Next, we pasted in the center letter I from the Baroque 3 XL Monogram Set, then adjusted the center space a bit to be sure that nothing looked crowded. How we made these monogramsEmbroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors. |
