Monogram CombinationsUnique Monograms combining multiple styles. Monogram Styles Used:Monogram: PK We tend to think of a monogram as being as seamless and consistent in style as possible, but it can also be interesting to create one that includes a few different personality traits in one design. For this monogram - first initial P, last initial K - we wanted to combine a classical tendency with a more modern and whimsical one. We chose the letter P from the Arabesque Monogram 14 and the letter K from the Princess Monogram Set 2, using the same principal thread color - dark grey green - to blend them together. To add some interest, and formality, we used a corner bracket - Monogram Flourishes 3: year 1924 that we duplicated 3 times and rotated to make an open frame. The overall size is 5 1/4" (133mm) tall by 6 3/8" (163mm) wide. How we made these monogramsEmbroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors. |
