Monogram CombinationsUnique Monograms combining multiple styles.  Monogram Styles Used:Monogram: R Most of the time a monogram seems to be symmetrical and balanced. For this single initial monogram - initial R - we wanted to try something a little different. The letters from Gothic Monogram Set 17 have an interesting interior texture, done in manual seed stitch, outlined in satin stitch. Since the letter R has a flow to the right, we paired it with an embellishment design on the left side. We chose a design from Monogram Flourishes 3 - Year: 1943. It's a satin stitch circle enclosing a running stitch grid, with decorative flowers. This monogram would look nice on a towel. The overall size is 3 1/2" (89mm) tall by 4 5/8" (119mm) wide. How we made these monogramsEmbroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors. |
