Monogram CombinationsUnique Monograms combining multiple styles.  Monogram Styles Used:Monogram: AA Several months back we created a "universal" monogram for our Combinations feature after receiving an inquiry from a designer who was looking for something that had the feel of a monogram but didn't read immediately as any specifically recognizable letters. Our combination inspired Annette Johnson, another of our customers, who sent along several designs she made by experimenting with the editing features in her embroidery software program. Annette started with the letter A from our Arabesque Monogram Set 5, flipped it vertically, made a copy and then flipped the copy horizontally. She added in her note to us - "The letters may then be positioned in width so they provide a pleasing symmetry...you can experiment with this to your liking. It actually looks really good to move the letters much further apart leaving a space in the center for the addition of some other small element (ie.. fleur de lis??!!)." The overall size is 5 1/2" (140 mm) tall by 7 1/2" (190 mm) wide. How we made these monogramsEmbroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors. |
