Monogram CombinationsUnique Monograms combining multiple styles. ![]() Monogram Styles Used:Monogram: MM This monogram is for someone with the same first and last initial, and is intended for use on linen hand towels. Although this trick won't work with every letter of the alphabet, the letter M is readable as an M if it is mirrored - and the combination creates a perfectly balanced left/right combination. We took the letter M from our Avant Garde Monogram Set 7 and produced a mirrored copy in our embroidery software program, placing the two letters side-by-side. This arrangement suggested the need for a canopy, so we looked for something in one of our Monogram Flourishes sets. The design called "Year:1956" from Monogram Flouishes 3 seemed a good companion to these two initials, so we rotated it 90 degrees and placed it above th letters to complete the arrangement. The overall size is 4 3/4"" (120mm) tall by 3 1/8" (80mm) wide. How we made these monogramsEmbroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors. |
