Monogram CombinationsUnique Monograms combining multiple styles. Monogram Styles Used:Monogram: A Our Gothic Monogram Set 19 is a nice complete design by itself, but in order to extend its usefulness we started with the letter A, then deleted the vine background, leaving only the letter and its interesting textured manual seed stitch fill. Next, we chose one of the designs from Monogram Flourishes 3 - Year 1924. After rotating it 45 degrees to the left so that the satin stitch legs were now vertical/horizontal, we thought it was a little too big, so reduced it about 20%. We made a mirrored copy, placed it so that the legs almost touched in the middle, and made that the upper design. Grouping those two together, we made another mirrored copy of the combination, and placed it at the bottom. The upper and lower motifs needed to be spread out a bit vertically so that the two-color letter fit snugly within this frame. The overall size is 3 3/8"(86mm) tall by 3 1/16"(81mm) wide How we made these monogramsEmbroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors. |
