Monogram CombinationsUnique Monograms combining multiple styles. Monogram Styles Used:Monogram: AGS The jumping-off point for creating a monogram can be very specific or very general. In this case we wanted something fresh, modern, vertical, and thin. Moderne Monogram Set 5 has thin letters with rounded tops and serifed details - little feet for the A, for example. A and G from this style - the first and middle initial are arranged traditionally - slightly smaller, and flanking a central last name initial. In order to add some interest and contrast, the S is the middle S from our Oval Monogram Set 1. It also has a rounded top and bottom, so it is a good companion for the other two initials, but it is wider satin stitch, and has slight flares, and mitered corners. To emphasize the thin vertical elements in the monogram we added a set of three wing-needle circles on each side, taken from our Art Deco Monogram Set 6. The overall size of this monogram is 3 3/8" (85mm) tall by 4 3/4" (120mm) wide. How we made these monogramsEmbroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors. |
