Monogram CombinationsUnique Monograms combining multiple styles.  Monogram Styles Used:Monogram: RA For a couple with compatible but different personalities. He (First Initial R) - artistic, in a smooth hand-made way. She (First Initial A) - also artistic, but a bit more interested in history and tradition. In order to create a monogram for these two we chose the letter R from our Brushwork Monogram Set 2 and combined it with the letter A from our Diamond Monogram Set 2. The Diamond 2 style consists of left and right versions, and can be combined into a two-initial square format. For this project we used only the right side initial, which consists of the letter with a two- color flower embellishment. To emphasize the fact that these two people are "in balance" with each other we placed the upper loop of the A so that it is sitting on the lower loop of the R, and tipped the A slightly to the left until it was perfectly balanced. The overall size is 3 1/8" (79 mm) tall by 1 7/8" (46 mm) wide. How we made these monogramsEmbroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors. |
