Monogram CombinationsUnique Monograms combining multiple styles. Monogram Styles Used:Monogram: B The motivation for this single-initial monogram was to create something simple, modern, and unusual. The initial B is from Oval Monogram Set 1. To provide a bracket we used our software program to save just the "dots" from Monogram Flourishes 2: 1949, then rotated them 90 degrees to the left to provide a vertical half-oval to frame the letter. A copy of this motif, mirrored, would completely enclose the initial, but it seemed more interesting to have the design open on the right. Another motif - this one from Monogram Flourishes 3: 1924 - added some visual weight to the left side. How we made these monogramsEmbroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors. |
