Director: Mark Sandrich Synopsis: Showman Jerry Travers (Fred Astaire) is staying in London with his financial backer Horace Hardwick (Edward Everett Horton). Working late, Jerry demonstrates some new dance steps in Horace's hotel room - which wakes up Dale Tremont (Ginger Rogers) the downstairs neighbor. She storms upstairs, and so begins a complicated romance - with dancing. Scene: Drawn into a convoluted set of mistaken identities, Dale's Italian dressmaker Alberto Beddini (Erik Rhodes) defends her honor by proposing a duel with Horace, who he thinks is Jerry. Confused? So is he. Monogram: Alberto's dressing gown has a crest with his initials (AB) along with crossed swords - his weapon of choice. Contributed by: Cathy Sundermann | ![]() | ![]() | ||||||||
