Royal Wedding - 1951
Director: Stanley Donen Synopsis: Tom Bowen (Fred Astaire) and his sister Ellen (Jane Powell) are a New York dance duo. In the fall of 1947 their agent books a show for them in London at the time of the wedding of Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip. They travel by ship. While onboard Ellen meets Lord John Brindale (Peter Lawford). Once in London they begin rehearsals and audition for additional dancers. Tom falls for one - Anne Ashmond (Sarah Churchill). Will love break up the act? Scene: Backstage at the theatre in London Monogram: Tom wears a robe with his monogram embroidered on the pocket - an intertwined TB.
