Movie: Funny Girl - 1968
Director: William Wyler
Synopsis: Set in and around New York City in the years before and just following WW I, this romantic musical is based on the Ziegfield Follies star Fanny Brice (Barbra Streisand), her career and failed marriage to Nicky (Omar Sharif). Reprising her acclaimed Broadway role, this was Barbara Streisand's first film role, for which she shared an Oscar with Katherine Hepburn (The Lion in Winter) in 1969
Scene: Nicky returns from prison, and meets Fanny backstage.
Monogram: An elaborate B in an oval shape, with flourishes, is on her lavender dressing gown. It looks metallic but appears to have been embroidered.
