Director: Ethan Coen and Joel Coen Synopsis: It's 1970, amd Larry Gopnik (Michael Stuhlbarg), a mild-mannered physics professor at a small mid-western university, has hit a "rough patch." His wife Judith (Sari Lennick) has announced that she is leaving him for one of their friends, unemployable brother Arthur (Richard Kind) is sleeping on the couch, his son Danny (Aaron Wolff) is a shirker at Hebrew school, and his daughter Sarah (Jessica McManus) is stealing money from his wallet to save up for a nose job. Scene: Sarah arrives home from school - preparing to go out again to wash her hair at a friend's house because uncle Arthur is always in the bathroom.
