The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou - 2004Movie: The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou - 2004 Director: Wes Anderson Synopsis: Oceanographer Steve Zissou (Bill Murray) rallies his crew to exact revenge on a mythical shark that killed his partner. In addition to his regular documentary film support staff, college interns, and dolphins strapped with underwater cameras, the crew includes his estranged wife Eleanor (Angelica Huston), pregnant journalist Jane Winslett-Richardson (Cate Blanchet), and a man who may or may not be his son - Ned Plimpton (Owen Wilson) - later renamed Kingsley (Ned) Zissou. Equipment stolen from competitor Alistair Hennessey (Jeff Goldbloom) helps keep the mission alive, despite a piracy at sea and the loss of funding. Scene: Ned - who has arrived from Kentucky with greetings for Steve from his recently deceased mother - is invited to join the crew. He and Steve have a deckside talk on the first night at sea. Monogram: The Zissou logo - a crudely rendered capital Z - appears in many forms throughout the movie - on a flag, a hot-air ballon, on stationery, and on deep navy blue crew sweaters, as in this shot.
