Susan Slept Here - 1954Movie: Susan Slept Here - 1954 Director: Frank Tashlin Synopsis: Mark Christopher (Dick Powell) is an award-winning 35 year old comedy scriptwriter who is struggling to be taken seriously as a drama writer. When the police contact him on Christmas eve about a 17 year old names Susan (Debbie Reynolds), arrested for vagrancy, Mark decides that if he puts her up for a few days at his apartment he can use her as a case study for a script about juvenile delinquents. Note: this sort of thing was pretty risque in 1954 (at least the title was) and someone thought that Debbie Reynolds could pass for a 17 year old. Those were different times. Scene: Susan gets the bed in the bedroom, Mark gets the sofa in the living room. Monogram: Mark has a monogrammed crest (MC in Old English) on his robe. Contributed by: Cathy Sundermann | |||||||||||
