Home Alone - 1990Movie: Home Alone - 1990 Director: Chris Columbus Synopsis: The McCallister family are going to spend Christmas in Paris.The night before their departure a sibling rucus results in Kevin (MacCauley Culkin), the youngest son, being sent to his room on the third floor. In the rush to leave for the airport the next morning nobody remembers to wake Kevin - and he is left behind. His parents realize their mistake mid-way across the Atlantic, and then must try to return home during the hopelessly hectic Christmas travel season. Left to fend for himself, Kevin must protect his home from some burglars (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern) who are pretending to be plumbers. Scene: Harry (Joe Pesci) attempts to get in through the front door while Marv (Daniel Stern) tries the back. Monogram: Kevin has thoroughly booby-trapped the house. He has hung an electric charcoal grill lighter on the inside of the front door knob. Heated to glowing red, the monogrammed knob - initial M - becomes a branding iron.
