Harry Potter-The Sorcerer's Stone - 2001
Director: Chris Columbus Synopsis: Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) thinks he is an ordinary 11 year old boy. He has lived with his Aunt and Uncle since his parents died in a car crash when he was an infant. His relatives treat him as a household servant, and he lives in a cupboard under the stairs, but he has grown accustomed to his circumstances. Shortly before his 11th birthday, mysterious letters begin arriving addressed to him, and are intercepted by his Uncle - first one, eventually thousands. Uncle Vernon tries to escape the letters by hiding the family in a hut on a small island. On the night of his birthday the door is broken down by a large man who finally delivers the letter - and Harry learns that he is a wizard, and is invited to study magic at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He will soon learn that he is already famous in the Wizard world. Scene: Top: Harry is on his way to find the Hogwarts train at Platform 9 3/4. Bottom: Harry and Ron (Rupert Grint) stay at school for the Christmas holidays.
