Get Shorty - 1995

Movie: Get Shorty - 1995

Director: Barry Sonnenfeld

Synopsis: Chili Palmer (John Travolta) is the "muscle" for a Miami loan-sharking operation. When his boss dies of a heart attack he finds himself working for Ray "Bones" Barboni (Dennis Farina). While in Las Vegas to collect an $ 18,000 debt from Leo Devoe (David Paymer), Chili picks up another job from a casino manager to collect a debt from B-movie producer Harry Zimm (Gene Hackman). He finds Zinn at the Los Angeles home of actress Karen Flores (Rene Russo). Zinn says he will pay the debt, but needs Chili to help him with another debt first - to a local drug dealer. Chili has a movie idea - based on his own recent events - and enlists Karen's help - she is the ex-wife of actor Martin Weir (Danny DeVito). Complicated? Sure, but so is a good movie.

Scene: Chili and Karen visit Martin Weir at his home and sit in the living room to chat.

Monogram: Martin has a set of monogrammed silk pillows - a thin embroidered letter M with a diamond accent. The M is flipped over to make a W, and the letter sequence is repeated to make an embroidered border.
