Director: Daniel Mann Synopsis: In this complicated classic melodrama, Gloria Wandrous (Elizabeth Taylor) is a beautiful girl who has ended up in many "little black books." She is involved with a married man - Weston Liggett (Laurence Harvey), lives with her mother (Mildred Dunnock) and has a childhood friend - Steve Carpenter (Eddie Fisher) - a writer who she often confides in. Her life is a mess. Scene: Top: Gloria "borrows" the fur coat that belongs to Weston's wife Emily. Bottom: Gloria buys Weston a gift. Monogram: Top: Emily Liggett's monogram (EL) embroidered on the coat lining. Bottom: The lighter, engraved with BU.8 - the telephone exchange used in New York's upper east side in the 1960s.
