Barefoot in the Park - 1967Movie: Barefoot in the Park - 1967 Director: Gene Saks Synopsis: Paul (Robert Redford) is a young conservative lawyer. Corie (Jane Fonda) is his new free-spirited bride. After a six day honeymoon at the Plaza Hotel they move into a tiny five-storey walkup broken down apartment near Washington Square. During the next four days Corie tries to set her mother (Mildred Natwick) up with their eccentric upstairs neighbor Mr Velasco (Kurt Kasznar), and tries to convince Paul that he should be more easygoing - for example, to run "barefoot in the park". Scene: Toward the end of the film, Mrs. Banks and Mr. Velasco establish a rapport - and decide to go on a date. Monogram: Mr. Velasco's smoking jacket has a monogram - a crest with a V in the center.
