Unique Monograms combining multiple styles.
Monogram Styles Used:
The conventional arrangement for a three-letter monogram has the last initial in the center - larger - with smaller flanking letters for the other initials. For this monogram we decided to really exaggerate the difference in size between the elements.
The initial H (last initial) from the Arabesque 14 XL Monogram Set is 7" (177mm) tall. We added the flanking initials E and P from the smaller version of Arabesque Monogram Set 14. They are 2 5/8" (66mm) tall. The dramatic difference in sizes allows the flanking initials to snuggle in close to the E. To complete the arrangement we added one of the Monogram Flourishes - Set 3: year 1956. A mirrored copy of the flower bouquet design on right completes the symmetry.
The overall size is 7"(177mm) tall by 7 1/2"(190mm) wide.
How we made these monograms
Embroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors.
