With so many styles, there is ample opportunity to mix and match them to create new and unusual monogram combinations. We hope this section, displaying examples of monograms created by combining several styles together, will encourage you to try your own combinations. |

Monogram CombinationsUnique Monograms combining multiple styles.  Monogram Styles Used:Monogram: B The designs that make up Monogram Frames Set 3 are all circular motifs, with space in the center for a letter. We started with Frame C, which has thin curling satin stitch elements and pointed oval accents. We wanted to add an initial - B - that was also curvy and detailed. There are quite a few possibilities across our entire product line. To make the search a little easier we used a website feature called “View Each Letter of the Alphabet in All Available Monogram Fonts” - a band at the top of all of our website pages with a different link for each letter from A to Z. Clicking on B produced a page with all the Bs shown together. We liked the letter from Arabesque Monogram Set 6. In addition to the letter this style has an open botanical shield and ribbon - not useful for this project - so we deleted it in our embroidery software program before merging the remaining letter with the frame. The letter needed a little enlarging to be a comfortable combination. The overall size is 3 1/2" (89mm) tall by 3 1/2" (89mm) wide. How we made these monogramsEmbroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors. |
